“People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying, soften the orange bit on the right-hand corner. I don't try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.”
— Carl Rogers
I am passionate about supporting you in this journey to positive mental health, emotional well-being, self-growth and development. Working alongside you through the challenges and difficulties that life may present in a safe and non-judgmental space.
My integrative counselling training draws on several different practices which gives flexibility to “tailor make” a way of working that makes meaning to support you in an individual way. I have extensive experience working in agency and education settings across many different cultures and I draw on my own lived experience of having to leave my country of birth.
In acknowledgement of our current economic climate, I offer concession rates spaces. Please contact me direct to discuss available slots.
Issues worked with include low self-esteem, difficult family dynamics and relationships, anxiety and eco-anxiety, stress, addiction, loss, bereavement and cultural displacement. I am also a trauma informed practitioner and have worked with many individuals who have experienced early traumatic childhood events with sensitivity and awareness of how the past can present to impact on mental health and relationship.
I uphold a commitment to continuous professional development and learning with certification in a wide range of areas relating to all aspects of my therapeutic practice. I also attend my own monthly supervision and adhere to the BACP ethical framework. I hold an enhanced DBS and professional counselling indemnity insurance.
My counselling practice offers a safe space.
A place for yourself to explore facilitated by my approach of sensitivity and empathy - and without judgement. In the therapy space thoughts, feelings and beliefs can be expressed freely and in confidence.
Working together I can help you gain greater insight into the difficulties you are facing, help you understand why you act or react to them the way you do, and see how you can start to make better, heathier choices moving forward.
